Über die Kampagne

Die Kampagne Lausitz gegen Tierfabriken ist eine gemeinsame Aktionsplattform von BürgerInnen aus der Lausitz und überregionalen Tierrechts-AktivistInnen, die sich gegen Anlagen zur industriellen Ausbeutung von Tieren richtet. Zur Zeit stehen zwei Tierfabriken im Fokus: Die Ferkelzuchtanlage von „Schweinebaron“ Straathof in Wadelsdorf sowie die Schweinezucht- und -mastanlage der Firma Bolart GmbH in Vetschau.

Wie alle Tierfabriken sind diese beiden Anlagen eine Katastrophe für die betroffenen Tiere, die darin leben müssen, bevor sie nach einem extrem kurzen Leben gewaltsam getötet werden. Sie sind auch eine Katastrophe für die lokale Umwelt, die AnwohnerInnen, die Umwelt in den Erzeugungsländern der Futtermittel, die Menschen dort und anderswo sowie für das Klima.

Wir wollen der Schädigung und Ausbeutung von Mensch, Tier und Umwelt für ökonomische Zwecke nicht mehr tatenlos zusehen. Auf dieser Website und mit dieser Kampagne wollen wir die Auswirkungen der Mast- und Zuchtanlagen ebenso sichtbar machen wie die Genehmigungs- und Kontrollpraxis von Behörden und Institutionen, die mit für die gegenwärtigen Zustände verantwortlich sind.

Unser Ziel ist die Schließung der beiden Tierfabriken als ein konkreter Schritt innerhalb einer dringend notwendigen, umfassenden Wende in der Landwirtschaft.
